HIS SPECIAL SONG

I can feel, the anticipation, the longing, the unknown, the silence right before the music starts. I’m unsure of what song will be played, what the words will reveal in me as I listen closely and hear them. Such starts the play of doubt within me, at times it is all good and things are fine. Sometimes they are better than fine and others just okay, yet other times the past hurts just haunt me and I am never okay and feel that I will never be okay ever again.

My Daddy takes the weight on my heart and just takes it away, lifts it up like it was never there to begin with, this He has done over and over in my life. It feels like a brand new feeling each and every time. So many have left me in my life, abandoned me. My heart cries still of those who were supposed to have loved me- yet left me and in the silence, I start to hear the music so sweetly, a melody which perhaps only I can hear, it is from my Daddy, written just for me, He says I am worthy, I am loved, I am held. He will always come for me.

He meets me exactly where I am and takes full control of my heart. The depth of His love goes deeper still. He doesn’t give up, ever, even when we are broken, or especially when we are in pieces. He keeps coming back holding onto me so that I don’t end up a pile upon the floor. He holds my hand tightly, never leaving me and never ever will He forsake me.

I am His.
