In The Silence

Sitting outside and watching

The wind blow stuff all around

Magical cool breezes

His beauty swiftly surrounds.

One moment everything

Is quiet and so still

Only moments later the fury of the wind

Hastens at His will.

In the silence

I can clearly hear Your voice

Speaking right to my heart

This time so blessed, is my choice.

Slowing down, taking the time

Let Him cherish, Let Him love

The world has no place

I will not let them shove.

The beautiful blue

Of the sky o’er my head

Goes on for miles

He keeps me well fed.

I sit quietly

I am still and know

I listen, I hear

You place me on the path, I should go.

I cherish this silence

Special times with You

Fills me up to overflow

In all You have me do.
