In moments of weakness

Even the strong

Give into fear

Weary going on for so long.

A big smile upon our face

We dance in the parade

No one even considers

That it’s all a charade.

We play hopscotch around glory

Ignoring the whispers we hear

Fully taking for granted

The things, the people we hold dear.

Like a thief which steals time

Our moments quickly fade away

His mercy forgotten

At the end of the day.

As fear takes over

Frightened we fall

In dishonesty we must pretend

All is perfect within our walls.

In the new dawn of morning

Before us a fresh day

Let us first fight the demons

On our knees, we must pray.

Like dew covers the ground

It takes courage to heal

His peace is perfect

Allow yourself to feel.

Lifting our hands

Outstretched, let us raise

Feeling again the sheer awe

As our dear Father we praise!

Psalm 26 1 Corinthians 4:6-14
