What does Jesus think? After all is said and done we need to be sure we care more about what Jesus thinks than what others think, period.

Don’t let others take up so much time in your thoughts. Frustration takes away your energy and wastes precious time. What will they think of this? What if so and so does that? What if they don’t like what I said? What if they don’t like _______ ?

We can say who cares? But in the end if we really didn’t care, then why do we spend so much time worrying about it? Spending so much time overthinking things, or thinking over things??!!

Have you ever taken an inventory after coming home from church one day or a party, a friendly get together? Then spend the rest of the week/weekend thinking on what you said and who was there and wondering if they will call later (if they said they would) or if they really thought your joke was funny or not? We can make ourselves sick mentally going over and just dissecting our time with others this way, and so often we do, and so often I have! In fact, I sometimes avoid any type of get together as I get tired of the “after effects” from it all.

Be careful of where the voices come from that you hear and what they are telling you. May we realize that Jesus is worthy, He is with us all the time everywhere we go. We can evaluate what situation and place is worthy of our time and avoid going/doing things with those we are not comfortable with. We can spend time with others and trust Jesus that after we leave, we are not bombarded or overwhelmed with anxious thoughts or feelings.

My family and I have started praying before we go anywhere or before we see anyone. Pray before we have anyone in our home, so that no forces of the enemy have a chance to latch themselves onto us. This has been a blessing beyond measure, to have this reassurance.
