WHY DO WE IGNORE SATAN'S EXISTENCE?

Umbridge: Your previous instruction on this subject has been disturbingly uneven. But you’ll be pleased to know you’ll be following a carefully structured, ministry approved course of defensive magic. Yes?

Hermione: There’s nothing in here about using defensive spells? 

Umbridge: using spells? (laughs) well I can’t imagine why you would need to use spells in my classroom!

Ron: we’re not gonna use magic?

Umbridge: You will be learning about defensive spells, in a secure risk-free way

Harry: Well what use is that? If we’re going to be attacked it won’t be risk-free!

Umbridge: Students will raise their hands when they speak in my class! It is the view of the ministry that a theoretical knowledge would be sufficient to get you through your examinations which are after all, is what school is all about!

Harry: And how is theory supposed to prepare us for what’s out there?

Umbridge: There is nothing out there dear! Who would you imagine would want to attack children like yourself!

Harry: Oh I don’t know, maybe, Lord Voldemort!

(Awkward pause)

Umbridge: Now let me make this quite plain, you have been told that a certain Dark wizard is at large once again! This is a lie!

Harry: It’s not a lie, I saw him, I fought him!

Umbridge: Detention Mr. Potter!!

Harry: So according to you Cedric Diggory dropped dead of his own accord!!

Umbridge: Cedric Diggory’s death was a tragic accident!

Harry: It was murder! Voldemort killed him, you must know that!!

Umbridge: Enough!!

Today I want to talk about the Villain of the story Lucifer himself!! There are times I feel we forget that Satan is even real!! We just see him as some red guy with horns and a pitchfork!! And let’s be real, we all know he is far more than that!! But yet we just don’t seem to acknowledge he is even real or even talk about him at church!! Much like in Order of the Phoenix people are either afraid, or they just want to believe that everything is perfect, in order to maintain their status!! Voldemort has not returned!! There is no war in Ba Sing Se!! Everything is awesome!!

ALL LIES!!!! Satan is real!!!! And ignoring him has led to the church being where it is today!! Divided and completely worthless!!

John 8:44b NKJV

He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 

Every single sin from the beginning of time has all started with Satan!! Sure we are responsible for our own actions and we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But really look back on your wrong doings, I guarantee it all started because of lies that were floating around in your head!! Who do you think put them there? 

I mean take Adam and Eve for example, when God first created man and woman, they were innocent, perfect even!

Genesis 2: 25 NKJV

 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

They were both innocent!! And it wasn’t until SATAN! Came to Eve and started planting all these lies in her head that she ended up eating the apple!!! Sure she disobeyed God, and what she did was wrong, but my point is it all started with Satan feeding her lies. 

Genesis 3: 1-7 NKJV

1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was [a]pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves [b]coverings.

The first sin ever recorded on earth all started with Satan! And every sin recorded since then has come from Satan as well!! And it always starts with lies. The thing about Satan’s lies is, they have a tiny grain of truth to it, just enough to make you believe it to be true! I mean eating the fruit, you will know right from wrong! But everything else was a LIE!!!!!!! I mean there is an argument to be made that if Satan never showed up to Eve, would her and Adam still have eaten the forbidden fruit? 

In any case I think it’s important to understand that Satan wants us to sin, and while we all have sinned, it’s happened not because we are human, or because we were born terrible people, because that’s just another lie Satan wants you to believe. It’s because we allowed ourselves to give into the lies Satan plants in our minds. Which is why it’s so important to fight against them, but you can’t fight against Satan if you ignore him!

He’s been causing problems since Adam and Eve, and if you continue to ignore his existence he will continue having his way with you.
